Our Return Policy
Stated quite simply, for any reason or no reason, if you receive a piece of jewelry and it is not what you expected, or the gift was not quite right, then please return it. If we can improve upon what we are doing we would truly appreciate your comments. Only two exceptions:
We need the jewelry back to us in new condition within 30 days.
If you have requested something out of the ordinary, i.e. casting in 18 karat gold or platinum, adding stones, or in some way significantly altering the original design to make resale difficult, then we will deal with these returns individually.
We will issue a credit to the original credit card on which you made the purchase, or issue a business check as soon as your check clears our bank. Trying to give you credit for future purchase is beyond our bookkeeping abilities.

If the jewelry was purchased from us, then you will receive full credit for the original purchase when doubling (or greater) the carat weight. Example: you purchase a ½ carat total weight and you move up to a 1 carat total weight. Remember that diamond prices increase at every size. One carat of very small stones, 0.01ct. each, that might be used to cover the dial of a watch, would cost $1,000, but a one carat diamond, 1.00ct., of the same quality could cost $8,000.
Guarantee or Warranty
If a piece of jewelry breaks in the course of normal wear, we will replace or repair it for the first year at no charge. After that time we charge wholesale rates plus postage.
If you lose a stone from a setting in the course of normal wear we will replace it without charge in the first year. Mountings do wear, gold is not stainless steel, and you should have jewelry, especially rings, checked every few months.
We will clean, polish and check your purchases from us for the cost of the return postage, or at no charge if you stop by our shop in Seattle.
Exceptions: Gold chains over time will wear, break, kink or the clasp will wear out. (If we suspended our jewelry from stainless steel dog tag chains, then we would not have this problem.) As pumps are more appealing than combat boots, light weight, delicate, pretty chains will continue to be more appealing. We search for the finest quality gold chains that are available. We will replace, at no charge, any chain that is defective or clasp that functions poorly in the first year, as well as repair, free of charge, broken, kinked, or stretched chains if it is still possible. If, for example, a 16-inch chain is now 16.5 inches because your first born has tried to swing from it, then it may best be replaced. If so, you may take 20% off the purchase of a new chain. We, too, are parents and grandparents.
